Conference proceedings will be published by the Institute of Physics in a special issue of Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter.
Participants who have agreed to provide an article for the proceedings should submit to the conference organisers, on arrival at WideGap2001, three hard copies, a completed submission form (PS, PDF) and a completed assignment of copyright form (PS, PDF, HTML).
Author guidelines can be found online (PS, PDF). Note that a camera-ready copy is not required, but an electronic version in Microsoft Word or LaTeX will be necessary after the referral process.
The IOP instructions for authors set the length limit for these conference proceedings at 3600 words for contributed talks and 7200 for invited talks (with each figure counted as 300 words).
Note that you should not submit the copyright form or the manuscript to Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, but directly to the organisers of WideGap2001.
It is planned to involve participants at WideGap2001 in the refereeing process, in order to guarantee an early publication date. The referee's report form is also online (PS, PDF).
The normal cost of attending the workshop is £360 (UK pounds).
If the registration and the payment of the fee is made before the early
registration deadline indicated above, the cost is £320 (UK pounds).
The all-inclusive conference fee
covers the conference registration, all meals and
coffee/tea breaks (including a welcome
reception on the Tuesday evening and the conference banquet on the Thursday evening),
as well as accommodation in student halls
of residence for 4 nights (20, 21, 22, 23 March 2001). A copy of
