Intended Learning OutcomesStudents, returning from their year abroad in Europe will be proficient in the language of their host country and have developed their knowledge of physics by participating in a university degree programme. Learning and Teaching MethodsLectures, laboratory sessions, problem sessions AssignmentsFollow host institution's conventions AssessmentExaminations administered by the host institutions Syllabus Plan and ContentWhile abroad the student will follow an agreed timetable of language and physics, or theoretical physics, modules (the latter being equivalent to a mixture of level 2 and 3 physics modules at Exeter). These will be selected in consultation with the host institution and the student, in accordance with the University code of good practice for student study abroad. Of the 45 ECTS credits represented by this module, a minimum of 25 must be for physics modules and preferentially 20 for language modules. If the full 20 ECTS credits of language is not available then the student will take a mixture of language and physics or theoretical physics modules. If no language course is available the student will take only physics or theoretical physics modules. In order to satisfy accreditation requirements, the agreed curriculum for this module must include (by guided self-study if necessary) the topics of:
