Undergraduate Admissions and Publicity

Role Description

  1. Process applications, offer visit days.
  2. Ensure all staff involved in admissions and publicity adhere to appropriate guidelines and comply with the University Equality and Diversity Policy.
  3. Arrange procedures on visit days, ensure staff are briefed about duties.
  4. Review interviewers comment, decide on offer; write to candidate and UCAS.
  5. Co-ordinate production of School brochure
  6. Co-ordinate publicity and liaise with other members of staff.
  7. Review 'student-conversion' success rates of staff.
  8. Monitor applications statistics and report to Management and Teaching Committees, and School Meetings.
  9. Monitor the School's 'Widening Participation' performance in comparison with University targets and report to Management and Teaching Committees, and School Meetings as/when required.
  10. Initiate discussions on improving procedures.
  11. Decide on 'clearing' offers.
  12. Respond to ad hoc requests for information and visits.
  13. Give outside lectures where appropriate.
  14. Liaise with school teachers, e.g. courses.
  15. Conduct ad hoc School tours and interviews.
