Place orders for books for School and University libraries, receive them from stores, decide section (class letter) for Department Library, pass to secretary for processing and shelving.
Receive and monitor statistics of accounts from University library.
Monitor financial position of ICI fund for School library (details from Northcote House) and take any necessary action.
Attend meetings of the Library Users Group (one afternoon, once a term).
Oversee secretary's routine work with the journals we take in the School library.
Monitor journal subscription prices, through memos from University library.
As required (not more often than once every 2 years if possible) carry out a survey of periodicals and make any necessary cancellations required to balance the budget, in consultation with staff, e.g. Heads of Research Groups.

Deadline for informing library of any cuts in journals we wish to make.
