It draws from these two well-established scientific disciplines which underpin knowledge and understanding for sound practice in Healthcare. The student is introduced to biological and sociological themes related to health, including their relationship to healthcare practice. Finally, it is aimed to develop knowledge of the pharmacology and legislative framework of drugs and contrast agents used in imaging and life support of the patient during imaging procedures.
