Problems Classes

There will be two one-hour problems classes devoted to each of the sections of this module (see the timetable).

In the Foundation Maths part of the module the first problems class of each section will cover the practice exercises from the Core Text, and the second will cover the homeworks.

During the second part of the module, the first problems class of each section will cover questions marked with a single asterisk, both from the practice exercises and from the homeworks.

In the second problems class of each section, questions marked with double asterisks will be tackled.

These classes give you essential practice at solving maths problems with assistance provided by demonstrators.

Attendance is compulsory; the process for dealing with absences will be the same as that used for tutorials and laboratory classes, and students should follow the same procedures to avoid being put on report if they are absent for good reason.
