Barbed-and-tanged arrowheads

This refers to the distinctive shape of the arrowhead which was designed to stop it falling out of an animal once it had penetrated the flesh.

Palstave

An advanced type of axe which required a two-piece mould when it was made. The flange and stop-ridge held the wooden handle in place.
