The Role of Clinical Tutors
Introduction
Clinical tutors are employed by the University of Exeter for the purpose
of placement support and as such are ambassadors for the University and
programme. Clinical tutors are expected to support both the students
and placement staff as part of this role. All staff representing the
University of Exeter must maintain the same ethos to training, education
and supporting the programme as the full-time lecturers. As a visitor within placement sites
clinical tutors must respect the differences in practice between
departments and between individual radiographers. If there are any
concerns in this area, this needs to be fed back to the Clinical
Placement co-ordinator. A more specific breakdown of the clinical tutor
role is outlined below. This is not exhaustive and there may be other
responsibilities and roles required from time to time.
