This form shows Year 2 Postgraduate Students the criteria used to judge their presentation skills, and indicates those areas on which they are already good, and those that need improvement. Please note that even excellent presentations may receive some constructive criticism.

Assement

Mark each aspect on a scale of 0 to 5 using a mark of 3 represents a satisfactory performance:

Technique

This category assesses the mechanics of the presentation.

Criteria Comments
The presentation should have a clear logical structure; consider the content and its relevance. Explanations of the important aspects of the research project including any problems and what was done about them. Display data, graphs, tables, etc. to emphasise the points made. Colour used to enhance your visual aids. Conclusions, summarising of results etc. 

Handling questions

The presentor should sure that they understand the question, ask for clarification if in doubt, and answer it politely. If the reply involves an explanation, it should start at the most basic level. Exercise judgement as to the appropriate length of the answer.
