Placements Coordinator (Radiography)

Job Description

Areas of responsibility:

  1. Ensuring clinical placements run as smoothly and efficiently as possible;
  2. Co-ordination of Link Radiographer Days and Clinical Assessor training;
  3. Chairing Link Radiographer Group;
  4. Day to day co-ordination of Clinical Tutors;
  5. Support for Clinical Placement module leads (who are responsible for the academic content of the modules);
  6. Overseeing placement allocation for students (including liaison with other HEIs regarding capacity);
  7. Liaison with administrative staff for the provision of uniforms, anatomical markers, name badges, etc. to students;
  8. Co-ordination of pre-clinical week (stage 1) and mandatory training (for subsequent stages);
  9. Co-ordination of vivas;
  10. Confirmation of placement dates (including reading weeks and viva dates, etc.) to clinical sites;
  11. Liaison with SHA regarding Placement Development Teams (attending SHA and other placement forums);
  12. Monitoring of student attendance and progression;
  13. Annual audit of placement provision.
