Placements Coordinator (Radiography)
Job Description
Areas of responsibility:
Ensuring clinical placements run as smoothly and efficiently as possible;
Co-ordination of Link Radiographer Days and Clinical Assessor training;
Chairing Link Radiographer Group;
Day to day co-ordination of Clinical Tutors;
Support for Clinical Placement module leads (who are responsible for the academic content of the modules);
Overseeing placement allocation for students (including liaison with other HEIs regarding capacity);
Liaison with administrative staff for the provision of uniforms, anatomical markers, name badges,
etc.
to students;
Co-ordination of pre-clinical week (stage 1) and mandatory training (for subsequent stages);
Co-ordination of vivas;
Confirmation of placement dates (including reading weeks and viva dates,
etc.
) to clinical sites;
Liaison with SHA regarding Placement Development Teams (attending SHA and other placement forums);
Monitoring of student attendance and progression;
Annual audit of placement provision.
